About the Event

At Trashion Factory we teach you how to upcycle and sew old materials into new fabulous wardrobe staples. In this course we will make a wrap dress pattern that fits you perfectly and you get to take it home, so you can reuse it over and over again. Then we take old denim jeans, scarfs and scrap materials (You are welcome to bring other old clothes you have at home) and you learn how to take them apart and then remake them into a wrap dress. You will learn how to patchwork, the most important technique when you upcycle.

The workshop is 4 consecutive Friday mornings from 9.30 - 12.30:

Session 1 - 4.6.2021: You learn about different wrap dress patterns

Session 2 - 11.6.2021: You learn how to deconstruct clothes and patchwork

Session 3 - 18.62021: You learn how to make a button hole with every sewing machine

Session 4 - 25.6.2021: Finishing your wrapdress

The workshop is limited to 5 people: You will be in a group with 5 other women and Olivia Weber the tutor.

This workshop is funded by Foundation for Future London and Trashion Factory.
